How I Help — 04

A DIFFERENT CONVERSATION ABOUT NEGOTIATION.

Most negotiation talks tell people what they already know. Mark Davis tells them what they have been avoiding.

Speaking that changes how people think.

Mark Davis has spoken at leadership conferences, sales summits, executive forums and industry events across Europe. His sessions are not motivational. They are not a summary of negotiation theory. They are a direct challenge to the assumptions that most organisations carry about how negotiation works — and why those assumptions are costing them.

Audiences leave with a different way of seeing their commercial relationships — and a set of questions they will not be able to stop asking.

What Mark speaks about.

Every session is built around the audience and the event. The following territories represent the core of Mark's speaking work:

The Negotiation Illusion

Why most organisations believe they are negotiating when they are actually just having a conversation — and what the difference costs them.

Power, Climate and Culture

The three forces that shape every negotiation — and why most negotiators only manage one of them.

The Five Fundamentals of Commerciality

The foundational behaviours that separate consistently strong commercial negotiators from everyone else.

Negotiating at the Top

What changes when the stakes are highest — and why senior leaders often make the most predictable negotiation mistakes.

Format and delivery.

Keynote

45–90 minutes. A single, coherent argument that challenges the audience's assumptions about negotiation. Designed to provoke thinking, not deliver a checklist.

Facilitated session

Half-day or full-day. A deeper exploration of negotiation thinking — combining provocation, discussion and structured reflection. Suitable for leadership teams and senior commercial groups.

Moderation

Mark has moderated high-level panels and roundtables on commercial negotiation, conflict resolution and cross-cultural business. He brings the same rigour to moderation that he brings to his own sessions.
